COLLEGE OF AGRICULTURE, PATIKUL EXTENSION CLASS HOLDS JOINT CULMINATING PROGRAM FOR ON-THE-JOB TRAINING (OJT) AND PRACTICUM STUDENTS

August 10,2024 |-The MSU-Sulu College of Agriculture, Patikul Extension Class, proudly held its Joint Culminating Program for On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Practicum Students, showcasing the integration of classroom learning with field-based applications. This significant event highlights the College’s unwavering commitment to nurturing competent, skilled, and socially responsible graduates who are prepared to contribute to agricultural development and community transformation.
The program advances multiple Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing experiential learning opportunities, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by preparing students for the workforce, and SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) through strengthening agricultural competencies. It also supports SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by instilling sustainable practices, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by fostering community-based engagement, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through collaboration among academic institutions, extension classes, and stakeholders.
This culminating activity not only marked the students’ academic journey but also reaffirmed the College’s role in producing graduates who are catalysts of sustainable development, aligned with the global mission of the United Nations’ SDGs.
