October 27, 2024 — MSU-Sulu Chancellor Dr. Nagder J. Abdurahman joined the MSU-Sulu research team in an on-site visit to the seaweed floating cages, actively participating in activities to observe the project’s progress. His hands-on involvement demonstrates strong institutional leadership and a firm commitment to advancing innovative seaweed farming practices that contribute to both academic research and community livelihood development.
This initiative supports SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) by promoting inclusive and sustainable community-based livelihood programs and SDG 14 (Life Below Water) by encouraging responsible and innovative use of marine resources for long-term ecological and economic sustainability.
