MSU-Sulu, COEd Extension Program: Opening Doors of Inclusion for Children with Disabilities

Armed with the eagerness to raise awareness on social inclusion and advocate for the rights and learning opportunities for children with disabilities, the students of the College of Education, specifically the first year Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in English and the third year Bachelor of Elementary Education joined forces together with the students of BS Mathematics under the College of Arts and Sciences to implement an Extension Program to the learners of the Special Education Center on the Ministry of Basic Higher and Technical Education - Sulu Division Office.

The 2-day extension program has been an eye-opener event for everyone - students, parents, teachers or staff members alike - as it emphasized that everyone is an important part of an inclusive community. It truly was an impactful program where everyone celebrated unique strengths and talents in each learner.
