MSU-Sulu, Gazette Publication of COEd conducts Campus Journalism Workshop

The Class of ELE 140, in collaboration with the Gazette Publication, successfully conducted the 2nd Seminar-Workshop on Campus Journalism on August 3-4, 2024. Held at the COED Science and Mathematics Training Center, Function Room, the event focused on the theme: "Empowering Campus Journalism in the 21st Century: Leveraging Student Voice and Skillset with Competency in the Challenging Ever-changing Innovative World."

The program began with an invocation and the singing of the national anthem. The two-day seminar-workshop aimed to enhance the writing skills of participants by exploring various aspects of journalism. Day one covered Photojournalism, Editorial Writing, News Writing, and Layouting. Day two delved into Feature Writing, Sports Writing, and Column Writing.

The program concluded with closing remarks from both the ELE140 and the Gazette Publication Adviser, Prof. Abdulhan N. Jannaral. The event served as a platform to highlight the importance of campus journalism and its role in fostering student voices.
