MSU-Sulu SHS Hosts Phase 2 of Research Training-Workshop on R-Statistics

On November 7, 2024, the Mindanao State University-Sulu Senior High School (MSU-Sulu SHS hosted the second phase of its training-workshop focusing on "R Statistics.” The said training was held at the Office of Information, Press and Publication, MSU-Sulu. The workshop was geared toward equipping research advisers and panelists with advanced skills in data analysis using R software.
Research advisers and panelists from MSU-Sulu SHS attended showing a strong commitment on sharpening their research skills and deepening their expertise in data analysis.
The workshop began with a prayer led by Mr. Adzhar H. Ismael, then with an opening remarks from Prof. Allen I. Talikan, the OIPP Director, setting an enthusiastic tone for the day’s activities. Then, Ms. Dermayna Jamar introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Idzhar A. Lakibul, Ph.D, who then delivered a comprehensive presentation on "Quantitative Data Analysis with R". His talk gave participants an in-depth look at the applications, vectors, features, and best practices of the R software, kindling discussions among the attendees.
One of the highlights of the session was the hands-on demonstration, where the participants were able to apply their learnings in a real-world context. They delved into R code modes and programming, allowing for a thorough understanding of the software’s capabilities and practical applications in research.
Mrs. Nurkintam U. Amirul, the Asst. GAS Strand Coordinator, closed the event with warm words of appreciation, recognizing the organizers and participants. In addition, her remarks highlighted the significance of the workshop in MSU-Sulu SHS’s ongoing commitment to advancing research excellence and empowering faculty with essential skills in data analysis. The event started at 9 am and ended at 11:40 am.
