MSU-Sulu SHS Hosts Two-Day Seminar on “Research Writing Proposal”

The Mindanao State University-Sulu Senior High School (MSU-Sulu SHS) recently hosted a two-day seminar on "Research Writing Proposal" for the Grade 12 students. The event took place in the MSU-Sulu Gymnasium last November 8 and 9, 2024, with the aim of enhancing students' skills in making research proposals.
On the first day, the seminar began with an invocation led by Mr. Ahmadnour U. Habibun, a STEM 2-12 student, while the second day was led by Mr. Alyasin Hadjiisah, a STEM 1-12 student. Ms. Nurennor J. Bahaluddin, the president of Science Club, provided the opening remarks on the first day, and Mr. Jay-Bee C. Luntod, the president of Research Club, welcomed the students on the second day.
Students from STEM 2, STEM 3, and GAS 1, 2, and 3 attended the seminar on the first day, while students from STEM 4, STEM 5, STEM 6, and GAS 4, 5, 6, and 7 participated on the second day.
The same lectures were given on both days of the seminar with the same speakers. The first lecture was delivered by Mr. Allen I. Talikan, the OIPP Director, who focused on "Writing the Research Methods in IMRAD Format." This was followed by Ms. Arniza J. Kiram, the adviser of the IQRA' publication, who presented the second lecture on "Formulating a Research Problem." The third lecture called "How to Write a Better RRL" was given by Prof. Nurmini U. Supian, the MSU-Sulu SHS secretary.
In addition, the seminar had meaningful activities and open forums, allowing students to participate, inquire and clarify any doubts they had about the lectures.
On the first day, the closing remarks was given by Mrs. Nurkintam U. Amirul, the assistant GAS coordinator, and it was Mr. Altamir Salamuddin, one of the advisers of Social Science club, on the second day.
The said event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the attendees, lecturers, and the organizers of the seminar. Princess Rania T. Adjilani and Sarrapa A. Jaani, representatives of Researchers Club, served as masters of ceremony.
