MSU-Sulu SHS Joins the MSU-Sulu Celebration of National Teachers’ Month

The Mindanao State University-Sulu Senior High School (MSU-Sulu SHS) participated in the MSU-Sulu community's National Teachers' Month celebration on October 7, 2024. The said activity kicked off with a 5:30 A.M. walkathon around the MSU Sulu premises ending at the University Gymnasium for the launching event where the MSU Sulu Performing Artist (MSUSPA) showcased their performance. Then, the MSU-SULU Supreme Student Council President, Aldasad G. Jumadil, gave the opening remarks.
Afterward, Chancellor Nagder J. Abdurahman, Ed.D. expressed his message, highlighting teachers' role, especially in molding leaders, for the future. After the speech, another performance was rendered by the DSDAS, and then the faculty members engaged in team building exercises: a yelling competition, a game called “Pahabaan Challenge," and in 10 respective game stations prepared by different organizations of different departments in the school premises.
By afternoon, the Jaguars entertained the crowd with their performance, followed by the Teachers' Got Talent, where teachers performed their own stunts. Followed by the students showing their appreciation towards their teachers in gifts and surprises, and a video presentation filled with greetings and gratitude. The program then went to acknowledge personnel with plaques and certificates for their services and contributions to the university.
The occasion was rounded off with the final addresses of Prof. Abubakar J. Radjuni – President of the Faculty Union. Last but not the least, faculty union members performed a closing intermission, and the hosts for the event: Murmina B Salim and Danny Asula presented their closing spiels.
