Science Club Celebrates Science Month 2024

With the theme: “Siyensya, Teknolohiya at Inobasyon: Kaakibat sa Matatag, Maginhawa at Panatag na Kinabukasan”, the College of Education Science Club rejoiced the celebration of Science Month 2024 held this 29th day of September 2024 at Raja Baguinda Hall.

Spearheaded by the Science Club president, Mr. Mojer Mobar and the rest of the Science Club officers, this celebration consists of the initiated Science Photography Contest participated by the students of COEd inclusive to all majors. One from the third year BSEd-English, Mr. Jaymar Haraji, garnered the third place. Mr. Alkalid Arakama, a fourth year student of BSEd-General Science clinched the second place. Moreover, a third year general science major, Ms. Zenraiza Tiblan brought home the championship in the aforementioned competition.

Also part of the event were team building activities and a yelling competition that aimed to build camaraderie and strengthen the bond between science club members. This consists of the four games, wherein each member of the four teams, namely; Blue Star (1st year), Golden Atom (2nd year), Phylum Chlorophyta (3rd year) and Aurora Aficionados (4th year) are mandated to participate. Every winner for each game was recognized and given prizes.

Present in the event were Ms. Muqorsum K. Akdam who rendered her inspiring and heartfelt remarks as a guest speaker, and Prof. Helen A. Cabajon, Chairperson of the Science Department. Faculty members of the COEd also graced the celebration.
