Strategic Development Planning for the Relocation and Expansion of MSU Sulu College of Agriculture at IFPC Langtad, Indanan Sulu

On May 23, 2024, Chancellor Abdurahman Nagder, accompanied by VCAF Abusamier Asanji and Budget Officer Sahalan Sakilan, visited the Integrated Farming and Production Center (IFPC) Demo Farm to inspect the fencing project and discuss the forthcoming transfer of the College of Agriculture to its new 5-hectare site in Langtad, Sulu. The dialogue focused on meticulous planning, strategies for a smooth transition, and strengthening the institution’s role in advancing agricultural education and research. This milestone aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals—SDG 4 (Quality Education) by ensuring enhanced learning facilities, SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) through the expansion of food production and research initiatives, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by investing in resilient academic and agricultural infrastructure, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through the development of green and functional educational spaces, SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by promoting sustainable resource management, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through strong institutional leadership and collaboration. The initiative symbolizes the dawn of a new era for MSU Sulu College of Agriculture, reaffirming its unwavering commitment to academic excellence, sustainability, and community empowerment.
