SDG: 2: Zero hunger | Posted by: Jonel T. Alibasa | Posted: October 21, 2025
March 21, 2024 – The MSU-Sulu College of Agriculture Patikul Extension Class, under the leadership of Prof. Nedzfa A. Ahajani and in partnership with the Moro Youth Catalyst Association (MYCA), successfully organized the Ramadhan Symposium and Free Iftar. The activity was highlighted by a lecture from Dr. Abdurajik Dansalan, and was supported by Hon. Hja. Nur-Ada Hayudini, Chairwoman of Barangay Taglibi (represented by Mr. Saidun Mujahirin), and MYCA President Mr. Aljimar Aduk.
This initiative embodied SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by extending food support through the free Iftar, SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) by promoting holistic wellness during Ramadan, and SDG 4 (Quality Education) through the symposium’s knowledge-sharing component. It also reinforced SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) by fostering inclusivity, interfaith understanding, and community solidarity. Most importantly, the program reflected SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) as it united academic institutions, youth organizations, and local leaders in promoting faith-driven sustainable development and community resilience.
